A Video Game?

Howdy howdy, all.

So, I’m considering the possibility of using the website Kickstarter to help back a small, simple video game for the Android, iPhone, iPad, etc, based on my world and its characters. Would much appreciate anyone who could swing over to my fan page, click the questions tab, and lemme know your opinion on the matter.

Thanks all! More info on the fan page, and obviously I’ll try to get on this more and more if the interest seems significant enough.

Interesting, I was able to vote of Facebook, with out an account but obviously can’t leave a comment. I think the idea is great, the world you created lends it self well to a game world. There are many side stories and characters that would keep the content rich. It’s a slight gamble to do it, you might get one shot at it… There are not too many themes that people will reuse, so make sure it’s a project you feel comfortable with. Know the players, ask the hard questions up front, and have fun with it!!!

    Good luck.

1- actually, i’d make them into two dnereffit books. maybe paladins #0 and paladins #1.5. zero would be lathar and mira, while 1.5 would be the fall of the citidel. it doesn’t make sense to have the fall of the citidel before jerico’s dream, since it would have fallen before the whole storyline. the problem then would be having lathar and mira in the middle of jerico’s story (#1.5). so make them two books with the fall of the citidel as paladins #1.5 and lathar and mira paladins #0 or #4.2- Alternatively you could have a separate book called the fall of the citidel or something, which would show the planning and everything that went into it, bring in more characters as well as showing a lot about the citidel. we know about the stronghold, where it is, what is in it and such, but we know next to nothing about the citidel. dnereffit people are mentioned in it but little else. 3- then you could have a separate paladins series (seeing as this one took longer than you expected we can assume the next will as well) and label them paladins #1.5, paladins #2.5, etc.You get the point

Hrm, feeling this meant to go on a different thread, but what the heck, I’ll respond here:

I think it’d just make most readers scratch their heads if I released Paladins #2.5, or even Paladins #0 (though I have seen a few that did the 0 thing). The reason why I was thinking Paladins #0 is that the vast bulk of the Lathaar story would take place before the Fall of the Citadel, which meanwhile takes place very *early* in Night of Wolves.

More likely, I’ll just make Fall of the Citadel a single stand alone title, though when I actually get around to it, I don’t know. Been spending too much time as is backtracking and doing prequels, and there’s a lot of people out there waiting patiently for some more Harruq and Qurrah. I think I need to start turning my attention forward, not backward 🙂

Doing everything I can to gather information on the idea. There seems to be a lot of support for it, but the cost won’t be cheap. Best thing is, I’ll have a lot of input in all of this, so whatever game gets released, it’ll be one I’m very proud of.

Slightly off-topic, but any chance you can use Google+ like you use facebook?
I’m not a facebook user so I miss out on all the fun… 🙁

If you make an android application I would definitely download it I think it’s a great idea
